Si3N4 Ceramic Ball

The ceramic ball is usually made of Si3N4,SiC, Al2O3 and ZrO2. Among these four ceramic bearing balls, Si3N4 has the best comprehensive performance. Si3N4 has the properties of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, non-magnetic, high strength and low density.

 

Silicon nitride ceramic balls are precision ceramics that sintering at high temperature in non-oxidizing atmosphere. They have high strength, high wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance. They can be used in seawater for a long time,and have electrical and magnetic insulation properties. At 800 °C, the strength and hardness are almost unchanged. The density of Si3N4 ball is 3.20g/cm3 which is almost 1/3 weight of the steel bearing.

 

The centrifugal force is small when rotating. And High-speed operation can be realized. It also has self-lubricating properties, it can be used in environments with high pollution without lubricating media. So Si3N4 Ceramic ball is the first choice for ceramic bearings and hybrid ceramic ball bearings.
