The caster tips (nozzle) is one of the most crucial components in the process of twin-roll continuous casting and rolling of aluminum strip ingots, as it delivers molten aluminum or aluminum alloy into the gap between casting and rolling rolls. Also known as a feeder nozzle, the quality of the caster tips (nozzle) directly affects the quality and output of the strip ingots, thus placing high demands on the caster tips (nozzle)'s structure and material. In terms of structure, it is necessary to ensure that the molten metal flows through the caster tips (nozzle) in a reasonable streamline with no dead zones. The distribution of the molten metal along the entire length of the roll gap should be uniform, and the temperature of the fluid entering the roll gap should also be consistently even. The caster tips (nozzle) is composed of several components, with a specific-shaped baffle block between the upper and lower mating blocks to ensure the even distribution of the molten metal throughout the entire caster tips (nozzle).
